ProRes RAW continues to build momentum in 2021 with over 30 cameras supporting the Atomos and ProRes RAW combination, cementing its position as the industry standard for RAW video capture. The biggest problem is it's not supported by Davinci Resolve and transcoding in prores is pain in the ass

I would love a small, screen-less Prores Raw recorder that could be mounted inconspicuously atop my FX6 (like a top plate with PRAW recording)

I’d also love if Atomos could enable recording of the full FX6 sensor resolution like on the FX3. Not sure if that’s an Atomos issue, a Sony issue or both 🤷‍♂️

And of course (naturally) some Resolve support would be great

I’ve got ninja v and I love it. But I’m Fujifilm hobo and my X-T4 doesn’t output raw. And that’s sad

Please, please please bring ProResRaw to the Canon R6. The R5 is going to feel very lonely.

I just got a R6 and absolutely love it for stills and video. Only thing lacking is external raw video which would be stunning at 5.4k. Would likely really help with the over heating aspect as well if a lot of the processing could be offloaded to the Ninja V. I recently bought a Ninja V as well when the plan was to get the Panasonic S5 or GH5S. In the end the DPAF and natural EF lens support of the R6 won me over.

Strange that he doesn't mention that Atomos co-invented ProRes Raw, especially considering the title of this video.

RED’s patent limits how it can be recorded and Blackmagic Design doesn’t support it in DaVinci Resolve. I like ProRes RAW, but those are two big hurdles to my workflow.

At times, hard to watch. When someone is looking away while talking, it feels uncomfortable or dishonest. or incredibly disconnected at best (unless we are watching what he or who he is looking at, talking with) So maybe just use a Voice-Over instead with pretty images, or you can perch a cute stuffed animal above the lens, and they can talk and look directly at it and not have to look at the lens?
