For me mine had everything - the label was perfect, there was a piece of that red tape present in the compartment on the white locking plastic, the info/data scan code was laser engraved, the star embossing was present, the white plug was in one of the holes on the bottom, ... BUT - in the venting holes there was no silver metal visible underneath & on the upper venting holes I was able to see the wrapping of the 18650s below. However the real giveaway was the weighing. Mine was only about 540 g heavy (should be about 100 g heavier). 🤔🤨😐🫤

Just bought off Walmart and the reviews were terrible. They don’t have the white plug.

I know it's well intended, but the latest fakes — they're all over eBay and even on Amazon — include most of the ID markings mentioned.

They are even sold sealed in excellent copies of the authentic Makita blisterpacks, complete with all brand-names, trademarks and logos.

Here's just one data point on the subject; side-by-side comparison of a genuine Makita 1860 (6.0aH) with a knock-off that would fool most buyers.
