I get it. Clowns are scary, invade your dreams, and can scar a person for life. But what if said clown just wants to be a Royal? And their voice resonates like an angels? And he's disarmingly funny? And he's backed by Postmodern Jukebox's supreme sound?

PMJ and Puddles is at it again with a fantastic cover of "Royals" by Lorde. I had no idea how they were going to pull this off, but the dastardly clown found a way!

Join professional opera singer Elizabeth Zharoff, as she listens to Postmodern Jukebox featuring Puddles Pity Party performing "Royals”.

We saw Puddles perform live. Before taking the stage, he worked his way through the audience and greeted every single person, pausing for photos any time someone asked. He really appreciates his fans. A real gem.

I worked at a venue where Puddles did a show a few years ago. The guy who was setting up the video system for the show couldn't get it right, so I was called in to fix it. I met Puddles, we chatted for a few, and then I got the system working right. During the show, he would go out into the audience, grab a person, bring them onstage, and do a song for them. It usually ended up with him singing Hapy Birthday to them, but he would call them Kevin.
Anyway, he came out into the audience, grabbed me, took me onstage, and slid a costume on me. He then sang something (I couldn't hear what it was since he used in-ear monitors.) After that, he sang Happy Birthday to me, called me Kevin, then whispered into my ear, "You rock."
Big Mike, the guy who plays Puddles, is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet!

No matter his schtick, he'll always be an Atlanta treasure. He has worked so hard on all of his personas/bands, he deserves the recognition he's getting because he has a beautiful voice and many talents as a musician.

Is there another human being on this planet that gets so visibly enthused by music as Elizabeth? I love it !

A 6'8" clown singing "You can call me Queen Bee" in an incredibly pure tenor, no less. And PMJ's piano arrangement is just *chef's kiss*.

I just love the ending, he sings "I rule..." and then he just walks off, deciding now it ends, showing how he rules in this rendition

Watching her expressive face is half of the fun. She really enjoys this.

His enunciation is astounding, his voice is so clean and rich and you can hear and understand every word. I love Puddles' singing on everything. Like this song he takes something I was not impressed with and turns it into something special

I've had the good fortune to see Puddles live twice now and he's incredible. He has a beautiful rendition of Hallelujah on his own channel with a lovely music video that I'd love to see you check out!

I have had the pleasure of seeing Puddles live. His voice was so powerful and just purely incredible. I lack the words to describe it. His live performance is so much more amazing then anything that can be heard on video.

Pronunciation .. yep .. one of the reasons I love his covers .. I can actually hear and understand the lyrics and he adds a meaning/story/emphasis I sometimes miss in some "original" covers/releases .. this cover and Pentatonix's are likely the two best I have found ..

His live version of Chandelier on America's Got Talent is absolutely incredible.

I get a thrill when you love a song that I love. It's very gratifying to see another person appreciate something that you appreciate.

I love watching your reactions. Your childlike love of music and mature and educated explanations are such a beautifully unique combination.

He's a genius! Hands down the most talented preformer in recent years.

For recommends on Puddles, "Space Oddity" has to be in the list somewhere. Just another incredible number. Also, his mash-up of "Pinball Wizard" and "Folsom Prison Blues" is pretty stellar.

Puddles is TOPS! His voice is an inspiration for the ages. The look on your face when the disgust level of Puddles rises to the point where he just ups and leaves.. . Priceless. THAT'S showmanship, my lady.

I remember Lorde saying on Reddit that this was her favorite cover.

Love Puddles and PMJ. And how cool are the back up singers. Just step-in' and snapping' then coming in so perfectly and beautiful. Love it.
