You guys asked for it and here it is. I invited my pals from Tongo Hiti to help me out with this one. The Sound Of Silence is a song by the American music duo Simon & Garfunkel. The song was written by Paul Simon over a period of several months in 1963 and 1964. Disturbed did it their way. We did it the way we do it. I ❤️ y'all.
RL and Tim asked me to not cover up Sam, the drummer. This is 5 guys playing this live. No jive.

Bashful RL Martin played guitar.
Bashful Tim DeLaney played bass and did sound.
Kris Dale set up his theremin and played lap steel.
Sam Owens played drums in the moonlight.
Andrew Woodman helped with lights.

This is terrible. I'm sorry. It's awful.

It's not only his hypnotic voice...but the delivery.

I've heard this song consistently in my 44 years on this planet. But a guy in a sad clown suit made me *hear* it for the first time. Wow

I am 65 years old and this the very first song i purchased (on a 45 rpm single). Thankyou for doing justice to this great song!

I think that close to 10 million views says it all. One word to sum it up regarding the expression, the set, the voice, the song, brilliant.

Replacing the last two words with actual silence was a stroke of genius. Since we all know the words we do not need to hear them to have them ringing through our heads. It is like the song never ends but actually continues in silence for ever.

Just my humble opinion, but this deserves a standing ovation.

His voice is so distinctive, that is what draws you in.
This man has the ability to sing any song, and do it justice.

A voice of such beauty and purity. Not just that. But the delivery; the expression; the emotion; the precision. Just awesome. ❤️ from Edinburgh 🇬🇧

Love it. The original S&G will always be my favorite. My dad had the album when I was a kid in the 70s. But this is unexpectedly beautiful and powerful.

Having loved this song since I was a kid (born in '62), I think I've heard pretty much every version of it...and damn...I think I'm just now HEARING this song. And the way he just STOPS at the end, with that look in his eyes...pure genius.

The ending where it just stops. The ultimate minimalist expression of what the song’s about.

This is Voidful genius

Man, since I first saw you on AGT I've felt what millions have felt: You're a true artist. But what impresses me even more is the passion with which you sing. Man, that's you! Thanks for giving yourself to us with your passion, your talent and your unique style, thank you for letting us tell about you. We love you, brother!

I've heard this song so many times, listened to all the covers, but this is the only one I felt, it's hard to describe the feeling, of hearing a song, and listening to a song.

Literal sound of silence at the end is beyond genius.

Dear Puddles,

Thank you for your beautiful voice. I love your character. You're brilliant and a wreck in the best way. Never stop being creative in this way. Beautiful.
