How Often Should you Upload to YouTube?

I use to post every week but with all the post production, script, talking head video, blog posts, premium community posts, TikTok, Instagram, shorts, e-books, physical products and online hard with a full time job to manage 2 a month!

I’d say the best idea is create content as a batch & space them out - let’s say 1-2 videos a week, perhaps sprinkle a Short or 2. In between.

I needed to hear this, thanks. I tried having an upload schedule, but then I put more pressure on myself and felt like I was disappointing my viewers by not having videos out on specific days every week.

This is what I needed to hear. I keep trying to post vids but I do a sloppy job of editing them and they are extremely low quality and it shows. Gonna take time for the next one.

It is still important to upload consistently. Cause it’s weird that your subscribers doesnt know when you will upload. And yes it’s also about quality. I uploaded 3 times a week in the beginning. But now I only upload 2 but better quality video’s than before. I think it’s still good to have a consistent schedule.

I would actually challenge this! I think the reasons you gave are good and important things to think about, but the most important change I made for the growth of my channel was consistency. I’ve been posting weekly since February and I’ve gained over 250k subscribers from that.

Quality is important, and that’s a priority for my videos, but I’ve found that momentum with the algorithm is more valuable than only uploading once a couple months and hoping that one video goes viral. Shooting for consistency rather than just views has been a game changer for me.

Thank you for making this video. My recent videos have been getting attention and I didnt know if i had to consistently upload to keep those viewers. I didnt wanna miss the opportunity since I only post as a side hobby if im bored or free. I was stressed about what to upload and if i didnt, would i keep those viewers. Depends on how short the videos are as well and how long it takes to edit them.

We posted consistently brand new channel and just got our 4000 watch hours this morning just need a bit more subs and we will be monetized. We also did stick to our upload schedule our supporters said they looked forward to each week so we stuck to it and got the hard part over with 💪🏼💪🏼 Good luck to everyone it’s not easy but it’s doable

This is what I like about posting on YT, quality matters in YT unlike in other platform where we are constantly “demanded” to use ads, what # or song to use etc etc. Thanks for the tips!!

Thank you for this. As a married man with a full time job, I often plan my videos and plan WHEN to post them. Which is why scheduling them comes in handy when you're working on a series and have other things to do.

Depends.

If its your full time job, then you should be posting nearly everyday to keep getting views and money.

If its not, then post around 2 - 3 videos a week at best.

This is reassuring to watch. Due to the length of my videos I was uploading once a month, then longer as my health declined (I have MS). So after a break I made two videos at the as me time, with a third in the background, and now going to be releasing them every two weeks. Much less stress, for me. Especially as I have two jobs on top lol.
