I made this video for my friends to explain Russian figure skating drama in the simplest way possible. I oversimplified and skipped over a bunch of details just wanted them to grasp the main points. So don't take it too seriously and enjoy!!

Some people have the Kardashians, I have Russian figure skating. It's literally the same thing, if not better

I’m Russian and I want to remind everyone about the existence of such an amazing skater as Elizaveta Tuktamysheva. her career outlived Julia, Evgenia, Alina, Alyona and so on. Is it a coincidence that the only uninjured Russian figure skater who has been skating brilliantly for more than 10 years is not from the Tutberidze team? I don't think so
(I hope my English is understandable🥺👉🏻👈🏻)

"The first woman ever to land it (triple Axel) in competition was a Japanese lady." LOL - can we please give Midori Ito her due?!

Wow, watching this after watching Kamila Valieva skate at the Olympics, and she also trains with Eteri. Honestly makes so much sense because I always wonder every Olympics what happened to the other Russians that won gold.

There should definitely be a Netflix documentary like this, about these young abused girls and Eteri. So sad 😔

The Japanese lady, Midori Ito, the first woman to land a triple triple and triple axel in a competition..still a legend i think even to this day/compared to the squad.

I skated until I was 17 and only got to double jumps, but I still spent my whole childhood in pain, seeing my physiotherapist and chiropractor every week, not being able to go to gym class, wearing tapes everywhere and getting huge bruises on my feet. My back is pretty much recovered but I think my knees will hurt forever, I can’t even begin to imagine the damages those jumps do to these young girls’ health

Brian is by far my fav figure skating coach. He has coached Yuna, Yuzu, Javi, and so many other famous skaters out there

I’m sorry I don’t know the girls names- but it’s sad. The teenage girl who won silver at the Olympics was having a mental breakdown because she did 5 quad jumps and believed she should’ve won. Instead she lost to her more artistic teammate I believe. It’s interesting because your video is a year old, and you saw that the judges preferred the artistic skating over just athleticism.

People defending tuberitze under this video and claiming the girls were not victims because they were successful are truly scary, for their enjoyment they will purposely ignore child abuse right in front of their eyes, hunger games style
