I adore this game. The gameplay is organic, you use what you have in combat and in all the puzzles, you use the environment. No buffs or potions, or complicated skill tree, it's all so simple, yet the difficulty is still there. I appreciate that I can keep running while healing at the same time. There's no mini-map and minimal HUD. The characters have depth, even with so little screen time. you aren't spoon fed anything, you have to find, explore and discover it for yourself. It's like a breath of fresh air in a RPG

This game is a breath of fresh air. Nothing really new or groundbreaking about it, but the visuals, story and soundtrack makes it a good GoTY contender. Just beaten the game hours ago. I hope they put a NG+ on future patches if there will be. And it's well-optimised and polished!

Plus, It’s on sale today so I grab it.

First hour into the game…wow….I missed those day when I was a kid, Do nothing but watched 3d animation that made by Disney or Pixar on my dvd player and enjoy every minute of it, This game gave me those feeling.

I agree with almost everything you said, except that while I also agree with combat being the worst part of the game, we do so, but for entirely different reasons. As always, when combat comes into discussion, it's either too easy or too hard, but rarely just right. Not an easy task for gaming developers, as we the players, have different comfort levels and expectations. At least they have a difficulty level adjustment bar in games, to somewhat assist us with this issue, but even with that, it's rarely perfect and what we are looking for, when in combat mode. Lastly, yes, it's on PC, but is currently an EPIC exclusive (which doesn't help us Steam and Ubisoft Connect only players). It's also on PS4 and PS5, but only in digital form (which does not help my daughter, as she is a physical copy only consumer). And then of course. the game is not available on X-Box (which is the only console my son will play on). So, Ember Lab needs to expand with the way they allow us to purchase their game, because they won't get a penny from my family, until they do, and that's just one family, as there are million and millions of other families in simular situations. Kena is definitely a top 25 game of all-time, but does not make the top 10 on my list, anyway.
