Absolutely genuine. You can see muscles move all over the body. Closer imagery even shows an ass crack. No costume like that existed at the time.

The fact that the best costume special effects artist of the time (1960s, who did Planet of the Apes) said he couldn't replicate a costume that lifelike with the materials of the time, regardless of budget, is telling. Yet people think a couple of cowboys made a costume that still fools expert analysis.

Also it didn’t stumble at all while walking (I’m assuming the terrain was very uneven) which is interesting considering you never see it look down where it’s walking, even looks behind it in stride. I’d like to see a human do that in the wilderness

I believe it's absolutely genuine especially after watching a primatologist take it take it apart showing muscle mass and the way the creature walked

Patty was the real thing. A suit would have been shown immediately after its reveal. The fact that almost 60 years have passed, and this film still has not been proven a hoax, speaks volumes of its authenticity.

There was a documentary on a couple years ago. It had Dr. Meldrum, a Hollywood special effects artist, and a college kid with computer software that greatly enhanced old film. With that software, you can see much more detail. Put that with Mr. Gimlin, a man of integrity, and there’s no doubt in my mind that it’s authentic.

I saw one get hit by a car one time, it was hurt pretty bad the guy loaded it up and drove off, the thing got better but caused a lot of problems at their house so they had to let it go in the woods. I said it before and I'll say it again you Bigfoot people are a national treasure 😅

Kodak at the time was the top camera, I head of Kodak all the time when I was way younger, forging a film was not Ike today with digital. So I truly believe that there are Bigfoot creatures that do survive in the woods .

Funny how they would think of putting a baby on her back and give her appropriate breasts. Not to mention how large the head is from the side not just the forehead. I dont think either of these men worked in fasion which would be needed for proportion.

What was funny when they said it was it was a hoax and reenacted it, Luke Skywalker ghost punch was more real. They really think people are that stupid huh. And if this was fake the two could have been the king of practical effects for decades making millions. Making Chewbacca in 2 trilogies combined look like an Ewok.
