Is Bigfoot Real? [The Patterson Gimlin Film]

Is Bigfoot real? Well, I can tell you right now that it wasn’t a costume. In 1967 Roger Patterson and Bob Gimlin went out into the woods and recorded something incredible. However, two men have come forward claiming to be apart of the film and also claiming it was a hoax.

Philip Morris claims to have been the costume designer but a brief look at his “remake” of the Pattie costume it’s clear he’s not being entirely honest.

Bob Heironimous has said he was inside the suit itself and played the part of Bigfoot. He walks in a similar manner in an attempt to sell his story but again… something’s don’t add up. If Philip Morris and Bob Heironimous are both claiming to be apart of the film why didn’t Roger Patterson mention them? Why hasn’t Bob Gimlin mentioned them?

And if it were truly a hoax, how did they manage to put Bob Heironimous inside a Bigfoot costume and create such a height increase that made him go from 6’ tall to 7,4” tall? Could it be that the film was real? So… is Bigfoot real?

Is Bigfoot real and if so what other things could be hiding in the shadows of the woods? It’s kind of terrifying to think about. Join me today on taking a look at the story of the Patterson Gimlin Film and looking at the age old question… is Bigfoot real?

We’re looking at the film, the material available to the men who claim to have made it at the time and the over possibility of it having been a hoax. At the end of the video let me know what you think, is Bigfoot real? Is it a hoax? Did Roger Patterson die trying to sell a lie? Why did Bob Gimlin suffer the taunting and torment of being ridiculed for over 3 decades of this was all just a lie?

It's either the greatest hoax ever pulled off, or a living Sasquatch.

If it’s a hoax, it’s the best hoax ever conducted.

I saw another scientific analysis of the film and one of the very solid points made by a biologist/anthropologist was that the actual measurements between the shoulder and elbow joint combined with the measurement between the elbow and hand made it impossible for the creature to be human, the ratios were all wrong and this would be impossible to replicate with a suit, no matter how high the quality.

Like i have been saying for years....ain't NO cowboy going to wear a monkey suit with boobs in 1967 period. This is the era of John Wayne and there is NO way, NO how a cowboy from that era....going to wear a costume like that. Besides there is a hernia bulge, on the leg, around the knee area. That's a detail you just ain't going to get in a costume in 1967.

Look at the bottom of the feet, they are white, obviously a costume. I had a costume like that as a kid for Halloween, the bottom of the feet were white. No primate has white foot bottoms! Observation my good man.

When I was a teenager in the 70’s a traveling attraction came to our town (Rolla, Mo.) with what was purportedly a Bigfoot that had been shot. A couple of friends and I paid the admission price and viewed it. Now I am no expert but the damn thing sure looked real. We were kids that had grown up around livestock and hunting so we knew what dead animals looked like. The wound was visible as well as the entire body. Honestly it might have been a hoax, but if so, it was a good one. It made an impression on all of us. As the old saying goes “the devil is in the details.” It wasn’t a monkey or an ape, the body, it’s shape, the hands, feet and the wound looked real. I guess it could have been a hoax, but like the Gimlin-Patterson film, it would have taken a Herculean effort to produce. And it wasn’t as if you couldn’t get a good look, one could literally bend over and examine it from a very short distance. I’ve never forgot it.

Bob Gimlan, who is way far from being well off, was offered a million bucks years back to say they hoaxed it but as you know he refused.

I personally think they are intelligent beings that live within NATURAL LAW. With there own language and tribe / family structure. I do not think or believe they are cannibal, but they take care of their dead. Similar to an elephant graveyard. In comparison to humans they are probably a step or two above us, having no capacity for ego or pride. Why wouldn't God create a life form void of all are negative personality traits and has an absolute love/appreciation for their environment.

60 years later. All the hundreds of thousands of trail cameras, millions of HD cameras everywhere, and many more people living in the US than in the 60s and basically no footage since this grainy film makes you think.

The body of Patty, way back when, was full and solid! Top to bottom, front to back! No one at that time had the engineering ability to design and fit a suit or costume like that!!! And to design it with breasts??? Impossible!!! Absolutely incredible!!!

I have an advanced degree in Pharmaceutical Science. I'm education in biology, cell biology and anatomy (among other things). I have watched the stabilized version of this multiple times, recently and my personal opinion is that if this is a hoax, it is extremely remarkable!

I'd like to mention reports of hunters that claim they had one in their scope, but said it looked too human so they couldn't shoot. Plus, I live in British Columbia, which has more annual reported sightings than anywhere else. The overall view of belief is they are nocturnal. I have been camping twice and we were pelted by pine-cones, small rocks and sticks from the treeline, starting about midnight until just before dawn lol, by multiple mystery individuals that could move around with absolutely no light. The last time, we were in a very remote valley totally surrounded by mountains and the only way in was to charted a plane that could land on a lake to drop you off, and return at a set date.

I'm not Saying Sasquatch is real. I'd never do that. However where it would be a primate, I won't rule it out.

All this, plus 1967 couldn’t anticipate the analysis that 1967-2023 tech brings. It still stands.

The clincher is this. We KNOW where the film site was! There were people on the film site within days including the future head of the US Forest Service. So not only do we have her image on film. We have her tracks in the creek bottom. Her tracks match that of a massive bipedal creature. So did the dude in the fur suit wear concrete stompers while filming? Or did the film crew shoot the suit first then rake out the film set and then used the stompers? Or by occams razor is this just a big heavy creature? Also check out the McClarin comparison. John Green filmed John who is 6’6” tall walking Patty’s footsteps. He is dwarfed by comparison. Her thigh is as big as his waist! Again these follow on investigations are paramount to the film’s authenticity. Lots of Bigfoot films out there and no one divulges there location…..because when you start measuring trees and stumps and rocks? The film subject never measures up!

I am an economist, my whole field of work is devoted to the task that exists because most people simply dont know how much money goes into things. Even so, I am always astonished how little people consider the money that goes into things. UFO, Crpytids, and the Paranormal are multimillion industries, that move more money than textiles or food per year, earning from tourism, services for conventions, and "lectures", also in merchandise and serving as advertisement call for tv shows, products and services.
By default anyone claiming any of those are real are already inserted in a ecosystem that imprints a vested interest in keeping it going. It is the same as in my own specific field itself, the myths about Gold, Silver, Crypto, and other things people lie and hoax about, and a whole lot of people have a vested interest in keeping the myths going.
The people often assume that if someone is saying it is a fake, they are the ones who need to prove it is fake. As in science, as in law, and in business, there is a status quo, and anyone outside of it has the burden of proof. The same way no lawful tribunal will condemn someone based on testimony alone, or a scientific fact is based on simple determinism, business also require more than assertions to be credible. I use to call the "Ben Shapiro" reality when someone thinks that something logic must be true. You can make up all the talk leading to the conclusion that something is true, if there is no underlying process that serves as a foundation for that truth, it is still lacking proof.
There are many problems with "big foot", the simplest of them is: There is no biological evidence that a creature featuring "big foot" descritpion can live in our World. A Girafe has that neck size, and heart size, and has a lot of shortcommings for it, because again, when there was something like Gigantopitecus (to those who believe it ever did, I might add), our atmosphere and our biome was different. Today's World would not have most prehistoric megafauna, a known fact, because of how it is.
Then you have the other aspects, like biomechanics of muscles and bones. A creature featuring such a body could not exist, otherwise it would break its bones just for walking, as it so happens with many tall people who cannot do a series of activities and performance sports because even if they develop the ability to do so, their bodies wont be able to cope with the stress. That is also why before technology and modern food industry, tall people would survive under some conditions, while short people under another. All because cardiovascular systems are what they are and work how they work. That is why this system is not the same for different animals that require different environments and capabilitties. Eg.: birds would not survive with our CV system, and we would not survive with theirs. That is how we know there were never "flying humans" for one.
So someone who claim that a bigfoot exist must come up with enough evidence to show how a creature that is how they describe they are, and live how they descrive they live would endure living in our planet today, or produce the actual big foot.
