I know this movie doesn't have great reviews, but honestly I loved it

In this movie, I could suspend my disbelief regarding a magical world where no one heard of the Beatles. However, it is utterly IMPOSSIBLE to believe that the main character wouldnt be immediately madly in love with Lily James.

The fact that Paul McCartney thought he had plagiarised this song when he got the melody in his dream makes this scene even more EPIC!

I'm amazed at how that Guitar was perfectly tuned "RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX!"

This film will always hold a special place for me. Back in 2020, I brought my father and mother up to my place. We had a really good steak dinner and we watched Yesterday. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Very nice evening.
My father passed away about a week later.
Love ya, Dad. Never forgotten - not today, tomorrow, or yesterday.

This scene sent chills through me. Imagine experiencing the Beatles for the very first time again. It made me remember the feeling, just a little bit. Incredible.

The Beatles have been so pervasive for so long it is incredibly moving the way this movie comes along and makes us all realize just how great and beautiful a gift they've given us all.

My favorite part in the movie, is when he went to see John Lennon and was so happy that he was still alive.

Yooo the joke about Oasis literally being unable to exist in a universe without the Beatles is fucking on point😂

In the original concept for this movie, he has all the Beatles songs but still can't get popular. It was a comment on how time, place and the social climate are all contributors to music's success.

The greatest thing about music isn’t the lyrics or the melody, it’s the memories that we have when we hear that particular song. For me music is the tapestry of memories of people places or things in my life

This was such a wonderful movie. Great premise, great acting, great writing, great twists, and great ending. Now, I need to watch it AGAIN.

Lily was able to feel genuine emotion, even though she already knew the song. She was able to interpret a person who had really heard Yesterday for the first time. Watch her as Malik stares at the guitar in its case. She's perfect, flawless.

Imagine hearing Beatles music for the first time Most of us were children when we first heard these songs and can’t recall exactly the moment we first fell into the whole Beatles music scene

A very nice movie - but thinking about it more deeply it brings home to me how privileged I was to grow up in a world where the Beatles DID exist. I was 13 when Love Me Do was released, which I remember very well - along with all their other releases.

"It's not bloody 'Fix You, ' Carol!" LOL! Also, I just love the wider shots of life going on while he is singing. The music of The Beatles is just naturally a part of so many of our lives, I think those shots illustrate that.

A ‘simple’ movie but very enjoyable to watch, beautiful and emotional. People’s first reactions to hearing Yesterday, The Long And Winding Road, or Something (deleted scene, do yourself a favour and get the DVD to see it) are amazing. Plus his singing of Help, his meeting John who lives an anonymous life… Many great moments!

This movie shows us just how important music is, and in particular how the Beatles filled and gap that we didn'tknow existed.

I loved this movie from the first time I saw it. I bought it so that I could drift into this mystical vision, whenever I felt the need....which is often. When "John" opens the door, it makes my heart pound, each time I watch it. Brilliant storyline, brilliantly acted and an ending we can only wish was true.

This scene was really nicely shot. Especially when they showed scenes from the area, not just focusing it on fhe people at the table. It grounds the scene in the real world and maybe reminds us of a particular time when we heard Yesterday and it had a special resonance for us.

Also, this was the first time I really was struck by Lily James' loveliness - probably because she was in everyday clothes and she sparkled in them anyway.
