"Stan, you're holding a gun to God's head. I mean, I can't even think of a metaphor that's better than this."
That's really true. I like that.

I like that God is blunt, and sarcastic. Hes also very good at proving he's the boss, just putting stan in his place.

This version of God is better than Family Guy, cause he’s more wise and less drunk. Plus I it’s ironic how he’s all knowing, but he couldn’t think of a better metaphor than having a gun pointed at him, now that’s good writing.

Despite his flaws, Stan loves his family so much that he's willing to pull a gun on God himself to save them. More of a Family Guy than Peter nowadays.

It’s honestly astonishing how different and spiritually more accurate American Dad depicts God than Family Guy does.

Is it weird that I think this is one of the best fictional portrayals of God I've ever seen? He did and said everything he needed to to get Stan to teach *himself* the lesson of the episode. Even his demeanor and attitude seemed tailor-made to counteract Stan's disposition in this moment; laid back and casual, but still in control, to make Stan truly feel like his efforts were going to amount to nothing. How more all-powerful and all-knowing can you get than knowing exactly how to control a desperate, armed control freak like Stan with nothing but words?

And no, the irony of Seth MacFarlane playing the literal Voice of God is not lost on me. Still, this is honestly one of his best written performances if you ask me.

God is just really solid here. Doesn't even pretend to be scared of the literal gun to his head.

Stan holding a gun to God's head is pretty much Persona 5's final boss in a nutshell.

Honestly this is a surprisingly good adaptation of God given This was made by Seth McFarlane. Usually Seth has a more cynical view on religion(or at least on Family Guy) but here I think it does a good job parodying the faith and taking its shots at it without seeming like a Richard Dawkins Ted Talk(like the Not All Dogs Go to Heaven Episode).

Seth speaks in his normal real voice as god. Gold.

Stan acted like a know-it-all because he was just forcing his opinion on everyone around him, acting like they’re facts instead.

Being a Christian and watching this show is something else. It’s very interesting and fun, unlike a good chunk of Christain’s, I don’t take offense to when shows joke about God.
To me, it’s just television, fiction.

I assume God knew 100% that Stan would not shoot as he wanted him to understand a important lesson of course there's also the theory the gun would have done nothing to him.

I like how well this God is written, considering Seth is an atheist

God sounds a hell of a lot like Brian. Which is super ironic considering Brian's a super vocal atheist.
