I love how South Park isn’t afraid to make their main characters look like the bad guys

Gary was too likable and had a good personality to continue being in South Park. That's why he never came back.

THIS is how you get Cartman to respect you.

As a mormon i like how Trey and Matt take their time to basically say “yes, it’s a ridiculous religion but they’re nice people”.

"you got alot of growing up to do buddy" that was really the best part and he was completely right he shouldnt have to degrade his personality of being a nice guy to be somebodys friend if they dont like him for who he is then they armt worth it

Butters also called out each member, except Kenny.
- Stan was high and mighty, who only cared about his image and what people thought of him.
- Kyle thought he knew everything, and put his opinion in everything
- Cartman well we all know Cartman lmao
- but Kenny is the most down to earth one, and isn’t stuck up

Kyle: “Oh my God! He killed Stan!”

Kenny: “Moo Mstard!”

Usually Kenny dies at the end of the episode, but Stan got straight up murdered.

This scene is a perfect example of why I love South Park so much. Is it juvenile? Yes. Is it crude? Unbelievably. But under all of that raunchy exterior is a show with a valid point to make. It can easily poke fun at one side of religion, politics, etc., but it isn't afraid to poke fun at the other side either, or even itself for that matter.

Take this episode for example; it basically plays out as one person's introduction to Mormonism. Stan (and to a lesser extent, the viewer), is brought into a setting he's not used to. He naturally feels uncomfortable, and can't help but point out the flaws of an unfamiliar religion. But at the very last second, the Mormon kid comes out of nowhere and gives Stan (and again, the viewer) his own opinion; that his religion made him into the kind person he is today, and that others shouldn't look down on him because of it.

And that's what I love about this episode; it makes the viewer think. The entire 30 minutes is spent mocking the Mormonism religion, but its final scene shows a different perspective that many people aren't even used to. It's easy to watch this episode and laugh all the way through, but the way it suddenly sheds some light from another person's point of view can easily give a sense of shock, even guilt. And the fact that these kind of serious subjects are brought to life out of a comedic show with crude humor and a simplistic, yet iconic art style is a phenomenal achievement.

“You got a lotta growing up to do, buddy”
Is one of the most “fuck you” finishing lines ever conceived

I agree with him. He was nothing but nice to Stan. Stan picked on him for 1 part of his life. Very unfair.

Stan got everything he deserved here. Yes, Gary was too likeable and was so sweet he’d give you diabetes. Doesn’t change the fact that all he did was try to be Stan’s friend and all Stan did was ridicule him and throw it back in his face.
