I would love for Square Enix to team up with MonolithSoft to do the remake/remaster of Xenogears. A full-on remake could give Tetsuya Takahashi a chance to give it the ending he wanted to give it before Square forced him to just wrap the game up.

The problem with Xenogears is the og game was released in an unfinished state. Bringing it to modern systems in a way that would satisfy people who never played it would require a lot of work.

Best case scenario is Square contacts Nintendo and puts together a deal for Monolithsoft to remake the game. The creative mind behind Xenogears, Tetsuya Takahashi, is a founder of Monolithsoft and still works there today.

After seeing what they're doing for Star Ocean the Second Story R I can completely see them doing the same HD 2D style for Xenogears. I'm also definitely sure Square is very aware of how popular the Xenoblade series has been so I think it's very likely they will jump on remaking Xenogears in the near future. The question is will they get some input from Monolith Soft and Takahashi on improving Disc 2's content, do their own thing with it, or will they keep it exactly the same?

I'd also like to see Xenosaga get remastered/remade as well, but that's up to Bandai Namco. Baten Kaitos being remastered gives me a lot of hope Xenosaga isn't too far behind.

"Don't spit in the card slot, I figure most people know this"

They do. This is what happens when your console sells 150 million units. "Most" still excludes a lot of people.

Dear, Square Enix, remaster or at least re-release Einhander for PS5.

Xenogears is a very interesting title. The end of the game was largely unfinished where an entire dungeon was told through dialogue sending you straight into a boss battle and so on. Even if that is the case it's also considered to be one of the single best stories ever told in a video game.

I kind of wish Square Enix would bundle their emulated versions along side the remastered versions. I'm mainly interested in taking these things with me.

Actually Mario Kart Arcade version already has guest characters such as Pac Man. It would be great to have those for the console version

The NES games didn’t work mostly because of the lockout chip, which can be completely disabled by opening the console and snipping the correct connector pin. Games connect and load up 90% of the time after disabling the chip.

A Xenogears remake would be great, but I don’t think I would want it to happen without the help of Monolith Soft and Nintendo, which I don’t think will happen. Monolith Soft and Xenoblade pretty much only exist because of the bad blood between Tatsuya Takahashi and Square Enix

5:47 compressed air is worse at times than blowing as it builds up condensation from pressure.

While i’m personally not a fan of NFTs and felt the whole crypto/NFT boom was just a fad, I do think blockchain technology will be implemented into different areas of digital ownership going forward and wouldn’t be surprised if it made its way into gaming as a form of DRM for the all digital future. Glad that I at least have a good collection of physical games to play for when that time comes lol

Played Xenogears to death back in 1999 as a teenager.

What hooked me was the amazing cast of characters each with unique character development. The love story of Fei & Elly is a slow but steady burn.

The mix of religious elements woven into the story gives it an epic biblical twist; as we see the main characters struggle with powers greater than themselves.

Its a bit sad to see the 2nd disc part of story being rushed through, hopefully this epic RPG gets a well deserved remake. 👌🏽

I would love a parasite eve remake. Brave fencer musashi. Treats of fate and chrono trigger remake.

Every time Jon says "Gathering of the Shareholders" I think he's going to say "Gathering of the Juggalos". My brain keeps filling in that blank every single day.

I don't think there was ever a large number of developers interested in blockchain technology in their games. *Executives* yes, but developers, no.

I would like to see a remaster of Vagrant Story, mostly a revamp of the combat system. Vagrant Story is an amazing experience but the gameplay aspect, particularly the weapon system is obtuse at best. A simplification of the system would be very welcome since that is one of the reasons I do not revisit the game as often.

If Square did a remake of Xenogears, and actually finish it, polish it up, then yeah day one for me. I was seventeen when this game came out in Feb. 1998 and in a time period when everything around the globe was shifting. Not so in a great way depending where you lived. I see the Xenogears logo and it hits me in the feels everytime. I'm still waiting for a Xenoblade Chronicles X part two to wrap up the cliff hanger at the end of X. Loved it not spoiling the story.

A vacuum would be best to get dust out of any electronic device. It's better to not use compressed air if possible because there's a good chance you'll push the dust further into the device, to areas most people wouldn't try to get into and clean.

WAY back in the day, I always assumed that getting the pins wet would provide a better connection. So 2 year old me would stick his tongue into the NES cartridges.. I have since learned better.
