Actually I'll avoid the US airlines at all costs. The rudest staff, the worst food, lost luggage and overbooking.

European business class is pointless, I once flew back BA from Tenerife and I was sat in a row that could have been used as a business class seat, it wasn’t used as one and the curtain partition was above my head, which obviously wasn’t used.

I have to say it all depends on the airport/aircraft you fly in Europe. I've flown Air France business class between London Heathrow & Paris Charles de Gaulle a few times in the past 12 months and they serve a three-course meal from the A La Carte menu on the one-hour and 20-minute flight. One time the flight was a bit turbulent and they only had about 30 minutes to serve us dinner and still managed to offer us tea/coffee afterwards.

i flew business with virgin from brisbane to melbourne for the eras tour as it was cheaper to book a rewards seat with my dad's points than it was to pay for an economy seat!! i was on an early morning flight, had an excellent meal of scrambled eggs, bacon, sourdough toast, blistered cherry tomatoes, and there was also mushrooms but i don't eat those. meal was served in crockery, not in paper or reheatable materials. i was offered an orange juice or sparkling water before departure, and again with the meal, alongside the option of coffee or tea. flight attendants were lovely and chatty, and i even gave one of them a bracelet! all in all a great experience for how short the flight was.

i will be flying brisbane to vancouver with air canada next year in their signature class. very much looking forward to that!

Who cares about business class on a short flights... If its less than 3-4 hour flight i am not buying business class. Not worth it.
