Honestly I'll take grinding my ass out to bring that zweilous to lv 64 and get that killing machine of Hydreigon over getting that fat 4 time weak to ice failure of a dragon type just because it evolves 9 levels earlier

I like both regions. Though, if i had to choose which one… it’s unova. Had a really good story.
And some good pokemon. While unfezant isn’t popular it’s mostly because of the moveset. Give it more physical moves instead of special and some other then it’s a great pokemon.

Also, Apologies for my “Primarina has left chat” i saw that you left out primarina in that “Ranking all feminine pokemon from worst to best” and i saw other people doing it. Which i realized was a mistake and for that i am sorry. I really am. I will not be doing the “ *Insert name here* has left chat” again.

Idk why people are harassing and discriminating the unova region and everything about it when UNOVA is literally an upgrade to the towns, cities, etc.
The starters are awsome the regional birds are cool (Fun Fact: I swept a guy in VGC with just a feather dancing, swords dancing and aerial acing unfezant), the rodents tbh is pretty mid, but the mons?! Gigalith?! Scolipede?! Leavanny?! Hydreigon?! Haxorus?! This region is full of OP and awsome mons.

unova is my favorite region but i understand why somone might enjoy kanto more

While I’ll always love Kanto as it’s the original region, I think Unova is the 2nd region that has aged best after Kanto and Sinnoh. I see more and more fans and YouTubers ranking Unova higher and higher on ranking videos. Both regions are great but I’m gonna have to go with Kanto purely on nostalgia. I just can’t let my respect for Unova overtake my love for Kanto.

For Kanto, i love Blastoise, Machamp, Beedrill, Golbat, Hitomocham, and Tetacruel.
For Unova, I like Serperior, Seismetoad, Skollipide, Throh, Gigalith, and Conkeldurr.

Here is what I would personally do for each category:

Starters: Kanto, OBVIOUSLY.
Cute Mythicals: Kanto. By far the better. And you're telling me Victini has a bigger movepool when Mew can literally learn all the moves?
Regional rodents: Unova. Watchog is WAY cooler than chonky ugly Raticate.
Regional birds: Kanto. Pidgeot is better than Unfeazant in every way.
Regional Bugs: Unova. You're telling me that Butterfree and Beedrill are better than Scollipede? I also like Leavanny, it's got charm.
Psychic Tapirs: Unova. As an MandJTV fan I hate Drowzee with all my heart.
Bovines: Kanto. Are you seriously saying Bouffalant is cooler? Because Tauros is the best bull. It even got a Paldean form!
Tadpoles: Unova. Although the Poliwrath line can run Hypnosis, the Seismitoad line is overall better in battle and way cooler. And Palpitoad is also cool minus. One of the coolest middle evolutions.
Jellyfish: Kanto. Tentacruel is just so cool. No pun intended. I will say though Jellicent is cool and can run Taunt sets.
Pink Healers: Unova. It was a close one since Chansey is so much better in battle, but Audino's charm and Mega Evolution won me over. Chansey isn't even used in Pokemon Centers that much anymore in the recent anime.
3-stage fighting line: Kanto. Machamp is awesome. Need I say more?
Bats: Kanto. The Swoobat line is just so forgettable.
Trash: Kanto. Muk is just cooler while Garbodor is just too ugly. I will say though that Garbodor has a sick Gigantamax form that can destroy teams.
Fake Pokeballs: Unova. Among Us reigns supreme.
Fighting Brothers: Unova. This was mainly given out as a pity point. Sawk and Throh are cool, but the Hitmons are great.
Pseudo legendaries: Kanto by far. I have always hated Hydreigon and loved Dragonite.

Yeah lets tally up the points.

Kanto: 9
Unova: 7

This was closer than I thought, but mainly because of the pity point for Unova. Regardless, Kanto still wins as expected.

You seriously gave butterfree and beedrill the point over unovas bugs which are leagues better in design and in battle. I swear. Every video abour gen 1 boils down to "this came first and nostalgia blah blah blah therefore its better"

Gen 5 has the best pokemons.
We got some powerful mons like Haxorus, Volcarona, And even the fossils are great!
I know Kanto has also great pokemon like Poliwrath, Gyarados, Golbat, And the king and queen of the Nidos!
But I feel like Blastoise and Charizard and those carry the region.
I pottenially like Unova over Kanto,
Unova made me LOVE bug type pokemon!
Escavilier, Scolipede, Volcarona, Accelegor,
Leavanny, Galvantula and even Durant! One of my top 5 favourite bug type pokemon.
I don't like Crustle tho. Something just feels weird about em. Something makes me really happy and that is Krookodile.
This thing was a menas. I used it on my Scarlet team AND it was so OP.
I love this pokemon and i'll never forget it.
