Thanks Mary Rose for showing us your gridding technique. I found it interesting how you remove your grid lines as your stitching. Wishing your a happy New Year looking forward to your stitching adventures.

And again, you have changed my stitching style. Love this idea. It makes so much sense to me. Thank you.

I usually use a grime guard and I sew a button on the grime guard and use it to indicate the top of the project. I do this because I am always forgetting to mark the top ! HA I am going to give this a whirl. I grid, but not like

Thanks so much for sharing your technique. I'm new to full coverage cross stitch and have been struggling with keeping count so now I will grid the piece and hopefully have more success.

Very interesting Mary Rose. I can see where that would be easier to do...counting by twos would be helpful. Happy New Year! Blessings, Marlene

Mary Rose-after your latest video, I went to watch your videos #93 and #114. Thx for your work on those. I use even weave almost always. Have never done full coverage really. I suppose you’d.grid even weave as well??? And if not full coverage, do you still grid? Thx again for this video. Would love to try all of this.

I really like this gridding. I’m gonna try it on my next project. Is there a reason you stitch across the fabric rather than continuing the stitch in its vertical line up?

Hi Mary. I am new to your channel. Just finished watching your gridding video. I would really like to see the back of one of your fabric which is gridded. Can you please show it?

Hi Mary Rose, I was just thinking about you after seeing a video about fires in Australia, I hope that you and all of your family are safe.

Hi Mary Rose, Good to see how you grid your fabric. I have some large designs such as Dimensions and this was really useful. Hope 2020 is a good year for you and stitching too. Xx

Hi Mary Rose - very interesting. I like the short corner posts your method produces. I’m more lazy I’m afraid and just use pre-gridded fabric. 😊 I do have a piece that I’ve started that isn’t on pre-gridded fabric that I may try small sections as I go. I think this will work. Thanks for sharing - I think I’ve caught up! Take care, be well and happy stitching 🧵

I am SO excited to find a gridding tutorial that offers the possibility of gridding in only ONE direction, and not TWO! Gridding both horizontally and vertically takes a GREAT deal of time. THANK YOU Ever so much for posting your unique way of gridding!

I have a question though, because of the stitching line no longer being straight and having a "jig-jag" at every 10 squares. - I can see doing this with Sulky Slivers red metallic - but wondered how smoothly it goes when removing this After stitching everything? Would the Easy Guide thread be more easily removed?

I'm also considering purchasing the Easy Guideline thread that is more like fishing line, but wondered how well it behaves at the grid junctures when changing directions and then how smoothly it goes to remove it AFTER stitching the piece? Would the Sulky Slivers be more flexible?

I am going blind just trying to count 5 squares on 28 count linen or evenweave!

? When one stitches block by block, doesn’t it look noticeably blockey in the end? Made up that word, obviously!
