Ukraine Will Move 'Closer' to NATO Membership in Vilnius: Stoltenberg

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg on Monday said he hoped Ukraine would move "closer" to joining the alliance as members meet for talks at a summit in Lithuanian later this week.

Speaking in Vilnius ahead of the two-day summit set to begin on Tuesday, Stoltenberg outlined the major points leaders would be discussing, along with announcing a new plans to bolster forces in the region.

He said talks would be held over three new plans "backed by 300 troops on high readiness and major capabilities across all domains".

"We will strengthen our deterrence and defence including with more investment," he stressed as he stood alongside Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda.

The summit starting Tuesday with U.S. President Joe Biden and other NATO leaders will be the most high-profile international event that Lithuania has hosted since it joined the alliance in 2004, with some hoping it would be of historic significance.

If they let UA into the alliance, after failing all commitments and obligations, it will prove how OTAN has zero credibility and integrity.

I am a first generation American on my moms side. She and her family went through World War 2 in Holland and survived the Nazi s. They were part of the Dutch resistance and 2 brothers where caught sent to camps. My Grandparents wanted their children and Grandchildren to never keep silent to never let it happen again!!! Demacracy does win but only if do not stay silent and to protect the ones who a Tyrant is trying once again to erase, as if they were never here.
