Love seeing stuff from a time when planned obsolescence wasn't built into every fiber of a product.

Amazing to see it's not rotten like the GPU AiO. I wonder how it would perform with a NF-A12x25 and with the top grille removed.

Coolant looks like what Thermaltake used at the time.

Had one that mounted in either 2 5-1/4 bays or externally. Came with a detachable blue LCD screen and cooled with a 80mm fan. I think it was a Thermaltake, came with blue liquid in a squirt bottle, and had those quick disconnects. Used it for my Athlon XPs.

Great to see it still working 15 years later .

WOW! 15 years with the same coolant. Then why most manufacturers recommend replacing the coolant every year?
I changed mine after 3 years and a half and everything was in almost perfect shape.

That's like straight up aquarium stuff and automotive stuff combined. Very old school :)

Looks like an automotive grade coolant was used.

Works better than I'd have thought

I remember when liquid cooling was first talked about 15-20 years ago, the radiator was always external, which makes more sense, the only reason to have the radiator inside the case is for neatness, but it makes far more sense to be outside the case were it's not picking up warm air.

The Corsair HydroCool 200 wasn't the first?

we are soo accustomed to disposable stuff that the mere fact that some gadget works at all after more than a decade seems far fetched

Cooler Master had a similar system, I still have most of it, I think, I may have sold the water block a long time ago. Cooler Master Aquagate Max Is the one I have/had. I bought it in 2009 I think. It was more of a kit tbh. A friend of mine had the Zalman Reserator, which was at least a few years older.
It fell apart after so many years of use. The reservoir started cracking and leaking, the pump leaked, I poked a hole in the radiator. I kept on repairing it for quite a few years.
I still have the original fluid because they didn’t provide near enough, and the fans still work 😆

Looks like an aquarium thing! Great content as always!

You should find and try and old Zalman Reserator 1 although todays processors would probably kill the poor thing.

It's unbelievable there's no residue or gunk with the same coolant staying there for 15 years.

That seems like better performance than their current 120mm AIO's.

My God, I remember buying this one back in... 2006? Maybe 2007? I can't exactly remember but I bought it from Newegg and it was pretty good back then. Wish I still have it.

I still have one of these! I think it was used with one of my Athlon 64's or maybe my E6600. Is it worth something as an antique now?

I had a Gigabyte 3D Galaxy watercooling kit back in the early 2000's, I think it may have been the 1st kit ever, I'd never seen one before, it was all homebrew with car radiators back then afaik.
