Consensus alone doesn't prove objectivity: Just because many people in a room agree that they are present in that room doesn't necessarily mean their perception is objective. It is possible that they all share a common misconception or deception. Objectivity requires independent verification and demonstrability.

We experience objective reality subjectively. That doesn't change the objective reality we're perceiving, only our perception of it (which may be objectively false)

Objective reality is everchanging. You can get good results by doing what others do, but philosophically you can't ever prove that the person agreeing with you is experiencing consciousness.

Yes objective reality exists and it’s objectively true that subjectivity exists, yet we experience everything we experience by definition that’s subjectivity.

There is also the concept of "closeness" to reality. You might not be living something totally objective, but you can be very close to what we could consider real and objective.

You're half right. Objective reality typically includes more stuff than any person can completely take in. Five people sitting in a room will all remember different things about that room, based on what's important to them. So while everybody can agree they're in a room together, they aren't going to all have the same observations.

It's sometimes called consensus reality, where the majority experience the same reality e.g. sitting in a room having a conversation. It's observable and fact. Subjective is personal perception and experience. You add your own flavours, filters and judgements to it. Your dreams are not objective but your actions can be.

Yes it exists. I just think that with subjective reality and each and every person having their own habits, interests and personality it brings more freedom. I find that whenever someone uses the term objective or truth they never tend to specify what the truth is. Just because we have things in common with others doesn’t mean we have to share the same values.

I had an argument with a guy who said that child sexual abuse is "subjective" because he didnt see an issue with children having sexual relations with adults, and kept using "subjectivity" as an excuse to be a predator
