Installing Docker Portainer and PiHole

This is part 4 of my getting started with homelab series. In this video I show you how to install Docker Portainer and PIHole. I also show hoe to configure pihole.

Thank you for your videos, finally someone that is showing the process step by step. Sometimes more clarification would be nice, but even this is sufficient enough to guide through setup.
I have one question though, why do you run vm in proxmox, just to install docker, and then have another gui, so you can watch over docker? Aren't proxmoxes native containers better solution for overview, so it is all in one place?

Should there be nothing in that yaml file? Because when I follow your steps right up until 9:39, the file is blank. I have double checked the spelling of the file. I am running the latest version of Lububtu. It's a fresh install and I have only just installed docker and portainer with nothing else.

I'm running Debian 12 and didn't get any error messages when deploying the stack. I'm guessing that all is good and I don't need to make those changes to systemd etcetera? Thanks!

I am not sure how to get around this issue as I am not sure whats causing it. my pihole is listing as healthy and when i try to access it i get the response connection refused. from a networking point I can ping the gateway provided by docker but not host. so should my container be saying healthy or running

Why OPNsense and not PFsense, there something on Pf that you doesn't like or it's just a matter of preference?

My 00-installer-config doesn't exist but I do have 50-cloud-config. My container deploys without error but I'm unable to access the pihole dashboard.
