Ubuntu 20.04 virtual machine for UTM (QEMU) preconfigured with ecology/evolution software (Mac)

I have made a Linux virtual machine that is pre-configured with population genetics and ecological niche modeling programs. The video below explains how to open up this virtual machine on your Mac computer, so that you can start using the pre-configured software without having to install it (and even without having to install Ubuntu Linux!).

The username for the virtual machine account is sample

The command I entered into the terminal was:
sudo apt install spice-vdagent spice-webdavd

You first need to have UTM installed on your Mac computer. See the instructions below if you haven't installed it already (don’t go past five minutes and 37 seconds in those instructions):

These instructions are for Macs. For Windows computers, use these instructions instead:

Great job Prof. Josh. I just watched the video.

I am new to Linux and I want to learn about it. Please do you have tutorial videos for beginners like me?
Thanks.

Thanks for this (and all the additional) helpful tutorials! I've downloaded your virtual machine and initiated it. But it's been over an hour and I still haven't reached the log in screen. I see a flickering underscore and occasionally some text whizzes by, so it seems like it's still 'thinking'. Just wanted to ask if this seems normal for the first run of the VM or if something is wrong and I need to troubleshoot....
