The vocal range, the tone of all the instruments, the beggining improv, the solo, and that out of context jump… I’ve watched uncountable videos of this man playing live, and I’ve seen him live 3 times. This performance is one of, if not, the best I’ve seen him do… thanks for the vid, and even better, the audio is in mono!

I adore Steve Jordan's playing, always have. But to me JJ Johnson was the ultimate drummer for JM's music. It was just so "organic" sounding. JM has had so many great musicians on his gig over the years, and I enjoy listening to all of them--but this rendition of his band was always my absolute favorite. Tremendous groove, and Robbie is really a very tasteful player.

I once wore a sensible jumper for a gig and people were saying it wasn’t very rock and roll. It looks a bit like you’re on a sensible afternoon out with the mrs. But if the music is good it doesn’t matter. And this is the BEST VERSION I’VE EVER SEEN OF THIS SONG. Truly amazing. Lovely trippy intro, mr Johnson bangs in with the most tasteful and perfectly timed drum fill, then the band and John just blow us away with perfect vocals and the usual amazing guitar playing and tone. Wow!
