The last 'It was built for love' part has a little "lick". The Gm7 is played (with the bottom three strings (EAD) ) like: 35X - 53X - 63X - 335

Use bar chords if you can, it'll make it sound way better.
John is mostly using his thumb for the root note (like he always does). Using regular bar chords is working fine for me as well.

I always liked and respected John Mayer, but let me tell you and I'm sure I speak for Andy Cohen as a big Diana fan this rendition is amazing because this song is one of those album gems that didnt become big hits, only her diehard fans know about. John knocked this out of the park!!
