How much force do you need to pull the connector? My fingers hurt, i feel like I'm any to break it. Are there locks in place i need to disengage? Thank you so much and great work.

I damaged the motherboard connector trying to unplug the cmos connector. The wire broke off because it would not unplug, and left the plug plugged in. I'm disabling fast boot as soon I get a new connector and hopefully fix it.

This is all fine and dandy, until you realize it's covered by a heatsink and plastic cover so you can't actually reach the connector without taking the I/O shield off, disassembling pretty much the entire system

How you get to have acces to the battery? Did you took the backplate?

I recommend using this LJ-CMOS-4 battery.

my battery is facing sideways and is behind the heat sink located between the cpu and back of board. I don't see how to remove this heatsink from the top of the board. Does it screw in from the back side? z370n

I broke the wires on my Asrock b660m itx motherboard and had to get a replacement

Maaaan, on an MSI B560i MPG they put that stupid thing way inbetween 2 pieces that your fingers coant even fit. I had to use tweezers to disconnect it, and I'm sure in 4 minutes and 12 seconds I will be using every profanity known to man while I attempt out that back in there with tweezers. Doesn't help I'm.all jittery from coffee 😩
