In WWII Winston Churchill had generals, admirals, and air commanders who were not afraid to give frank advice. And as the war went on Churchill realized he had to take that advice. Putin has generals who probably don't dare to do the same.

He wanted to rebuild the USSR. He miscalculated the entire thing, the world & NATO's reaction, the strength of his military force, the strength of the Ukrainian ppl, & the fierceness of their resistance, bc he made his advisors afraid of him, & surrounded himself sycophants.

You're so wrong: Ukrainians are not only Russians, Ukrainians ARE the original Russians. The current Russians aren't Russians, they are tartars mixed with Kievan-Rus. The Original Kiev-Rus is the Ukraine, not Russia. Anyhow, Ukrainians and Russian are so close - that an Ukrainian and a Russian do not need an interpreter to understand each other. So, it is not nationality which drive the Ukrainians and not hate towards the Russians - So what drives the Ukrainians? Can't you see? You live in a democracy, in a free country, so you take freedom for granted. The Ukrainians have to fight for it. It's not about nationality, its about ideology and form of government. The Ukrainians fight to remain free.
