UPDATE:
TACO BELL MILD SAUCE
3 cups of water
2 tsp cornstarch
1 6oz tomato paste
3 Tblspn white vinegar
4 tsp chili powder
2 tsp salt
1 tsp cayenne pepper
Dissolve cornstarch in water in a medium saucepan
Add remaining ingredients and stir well. Bring mixture to a boil over medium heat then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Turn off heat and cover until cool. Keep in a covered container container in the fridge to store.
Makes 3 cups!

Update Savannah Georgia: the easiest way to plant green onions in Zone 8B by fully grown organic onions from the store. Plant them in a pot. If you just use the green tops they grow back. Eventually they will flower and give you seeds

UPDATE WINTER HAVEN FL Hi Steve. I have been in the hospital for over a week with an infection, probably listeria. Either from meat or grapes purchased from Aldi. Please warn everyone again about the food recalls and to please be careful. I soaked my grapes for over an hour and still got sick .Prayers are much needed at this point. I am still very sick more than a week later. Thanks.

Update, Walmart has reduced egg prices in SE MI. I buy cases of eggs from Walmart every week to donate to a local food bank, . My budget for this is small as I am retired and have a fixed income. Last week the eggs were $13 per case, yesterday they were $7.37. The food bank asked me to spend my donations on eggs as they are nutritionally superior to most of what they get donated. It doesn't matter to me as I just spend my budget on whatever.

I planted some old onions, garlic from the grocery store in the spring just to see what would happen. All the tops burned off with all the hot weather but surprisingly the bulbs got a tad bigger and look even better than the ones i got originally.

UPDATE!! The recall on boars head meats has gone up to over 7 million pounds! There is now an investigation into boars head meats and a lawsuit from a couple in Missouri who got deathly ill from LISTERIA!
