pre-errata sangan basically doesn't have a cheap holo printing, graceful charity hasn't been printed in 10 years, and pre-errata exchange of the spirit... exists, although the sneak preview print for that is weirdly common...

I generally think it's because they want to devalue a lot of the old cards. Honestly this gives everybody a wonderful time if they're trying to collect all the cards got from it if you are. On top of that if they start moving to more staple cards, I'm pretty sure Konami will also start printing them more often than not. Making them pretty much pointless. Cuz it's getting to a point where having cards, and then making a deck is getting way too expensive

Ok, I sincerely don’t know how this devalues collections. Original printings usually hold value despite reprints. Also I find it difficult to believe “finance types” aren’t already buying high-end secrets.
