Man. I went to Washington state. (Western Washington Pacific Northwest) To a survival school for a year. (that was a waste of a year of my life and 13 grand.) To learn how to make wild harvest bowl drill fires. Plus many other skills. I have never had one that simple or quick. However if I had gone over the cascade Mountains in the eastern Washington into the desert. I may have had better luck. And now I’m back in Missouri. And the humidity makes life miserable when you’re trying to rely on friction fire. Great work. Great video.

I think this was the best descriptive Video on bow drill friction fire I have seen. At least for me I Seemed to have retained the information or learned more easily With James and Shane. I also think that's a great idea making a coal each day to keep in practice. My friends laugh at me for keeping up on Primitive Skills But they also admit that if they want to get a fire going when we camp I'm the one they turn to. Thank you guys for a great Video!

James just a tip. When cutting your notch. Your saw on your Victoriaknox works great. You don't need a knife to cut the notch. Using a small saw is easier and more efficient. Bobafet has lots of gadgets.

This was the best and most detailed instruction on Bow drill Fire. However, Shane specified cotton wood. Is that the only wood that can be used, or as he stated, that is what is commonly found in the area. Great Job!
