I am happy with the water deluge system for take off… however… what type of concrete and reinforcement does area adjacent to the OLM have to withstand the landing burn? Perhaps it will be far enough off the ground and way fewer engines/thrust… might not be an issue? Just curious

I will be there guaranteed! Wouldn’t want to miss this show!

FAA could care less about destruction of launch tower, only question is there damage to non-SpaceX facilities possible, very unlikely because almost no fuel left

Maybe that's why the FFA is given SpaceX the runaround for a launch license

I believe it will do just fine with the testing that has been done

If these prototype boosters make a habit of being able to land and caught successfully, Space X will start running out of space to store them! It would seem to be a pity to have to torch them after all that work! Fitting legs on these test vehicles would possibly make things a whole lot easier in the short term, as the weight premium really doesn't matter that much at the moment?!

Piece of cake, could even go and pick up Starliner and bring it

SpaceX doesn't give the big guy his 10%.

Landing the booster just off beach on a floating target with floats around for it to flop on and be dragged back to a lift point
would be more sane. even inflation ballons as booster settle in water

Can't wait to see the fireworks when the super heavy booster lands. I have no degree in aerospace engineering but even I can see the mega Zilla chopsticks and the catching point on the heavy booster design will not work. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see anomaly. There's definitely going to be a lot of scrap metal for sale

Dear Americans, I know you would prefer to eat beef, but fish is also an important resource even for medicines, ink etc. So if you want humanity to continue to eat it, there must not be too many jellyfish, and therefore enough turtles alive or healthy.
So, this kind of delays concerning not the FAA but the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is very important, in fact, it is even more important than going to Mars. Because even if we want Mars to function as a backup for humanity, then Mars must not become the only planet where humanity can live.
Thank you for your understanding.

I think Elon is holding back so he can catch it on tower 2

Just think how fast Elon could get things done if not for the bureaucracy. And the FCC is one of the worst.

Of course they are. There hoping for completion. But space x is so far in front so they need to slow them down. Is this fare! No but its how nasa does, business. And faa doesn't help either!

Looks like it may be early December. Not sure it will work though.

why is it safe to take off but not safe to land?

I'm trying to figure out who hates Elon Musk more...this channel or Angry Astronaut s channel?
