Tesla's Cybertruck is available once again for pre-order! But sadly there are no new pictures, no configurations, and no pricing. Is the new Cybertruck in fact shorter than the original or not? Also, five environmental groups are suing the FAA (Not SpaceX) over damages from the Starship launch--and this could delay SpaceX by years! And the EU is making moves to allow Tesla's FSD Beta to be in Europe as soon as January 1st next year!

Looks like SpaceX needs an alternate launch site outside of the US

Space X can be a part of the lawsuit as an affected party. At the very least they can do amicus curiae or "friend of the Court" brief fighting the lawsuit.

What a great way to get SpaceX to move launch operations to Indonesia or Guyana.

I'm pretty sure the FAA *can* continue operating normally unless a judge issues a court order that they *can't.* It would be rather absurd for businesses and organizations to cease operating normally every time a lawsuit is filed.

USA needs spacex. SpaceX needs to continue at fast pace. I hope they can continue there.
Elon moved most Tesla production to Texas due to all the hoops to jump through in California.

As I know the FAA didn't made an enviromental impact statement (EIS), but instead an programmatic environmental assessment (PEA). And the PEA did of course take a while (less then a year, I think), but an EIS would have taken more then one year, and this what SpaceX don't wanted. So the FAA did something like the minimum.

If the FAA were able to predict the effect of 33 Raptor engines on the concrete of the pad, then they would, in effect, be SpaceX.

No matter if you agree or disagree with the lawsuit filed against the FAA, the conclusion to be drawn is that SpaceX pretty much brought this upon themselves. They had a good suspicion that significant damage could happen. They had plans to put a diverter to help avoid what happened. However, in the "move fast and break things" ethos they moved ahead hoping everything would be OK. This opened the door to outside parties creating havoc with lawsuits. I personally believe the study was sufficient and the lawsuits will be defeated in the end but the damage is done.

Tesla needs to update that CyberTruck page. One of the sub-pages proclaims 6-passenger seating. That was pronounced "not happening" several months ago.

The Angry Astronaut filmed the area after the launch and there were swifts flying low to gather insects and lizards were seen sunning themselves.

SpaceX could submit a 'friend of the court' informational filing, according to my understanding.

A judge needs to throw out these ridiculous lawsuits and make these environmental wackos pay all court and lawyer's cost.

These environmental protection groups are no doubt sponsored by a few "minor" losing players with an axe to grind like: Boeing, Sue Origin, Dynetics, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed ... And Jeff who?

you know exactly why they chose Washington DC to hear the case!!!

I don’t agree with these people. Some damage occurred. But, it was minor. If the fully stocked Starship exploded on the launch pad, then things would’ve been different.

You can't sue the government, you should know that.

The angles look the same to me. If you look closely, you will note that in the "In the Wild picture more of the front is seen, This means that there is a rotation of the front toward the camera. The rotation will affect the apparent angle of the apex of the Cybertruck, making that angle appear smaller or more acute. The rotation also makes the Cybertruck look shorter.

Where I live rust is a huge concern for people. 10 years is difficult to get out of a vehicle. I’ve never seen anyone make the case that a Cybertruck will outlast legacy vehicles due to corrosion resistant materials. Why is this?

As to price, I think Tesla is waiting to give pricing on the Cybertruck because they want to see what GM announces the price of their Silverado 1500 EV as.
The EV Silverado is supposed to go on sale later this year also.
If GM announces a delay, then I think we will get pricing right away from Tesla.... otherwise it's a game of chicken.
