Elon says Starship is ready to launch. The FAA says the investigation into the mishap of IFT-1 is closed, but there are 63 items to be corrected. Elon says he doesn't have the list... but... SpaceX created it. What's going on?

Really great short. There seemed to be a lot of confusion when this statement first came out, this clears it up

Update: Elon released the list and they've completed the currently relevant corrective actions

I hope these 63 corrections have/will be done soon (or are already done)

Das thank you for the clarification. We are all eager to witness the second flight attempt as soon as possible. Whenever the term "FAA" is mentioned, it triggers a sense of panic among us. Thanks for your competence.

Just take a step back and let SpaceX do what it needs to do on its own time scale. We can't afford to rush them and end up costing them even more time just because we want to see major results when we want to see them.

Its a Big responssability. And its necessary.

So the FAA ensures that they self regulate in an unregulated vacuum. Got it.

FDA works like that too. They aren't there to perform every company's risk assessments, design mitigations, documentation, and much more. They ensure the medical device manufacturer has created an appropriate risk management plan and is following it.

SpaceX stacking the second Starship last week was public notice they're ready to go and only FAA is holding it up. If Musk is suggesting they're further delaying launch, he's posturing.

THANK YOU. These kids have been loosing their minds over operations they have NO clue about.

On the bright side, this means the FAA trusts SpaceX to be able to investigate the launch mishap and correct the mistakes discovered.

He'll launch when he's ready

Spacex should launch in international waters. Screw asking the government for permission

Elon just wanted to stir up the fanboys.

Does anyone else have an issue with some NSF shorts in that they don't show up in the subscriptions tab? Shorts from other channels show up but often not NSF. And no, I don't want notifications. I just want to scroll through the subscriptions page and have everything show up. Really not a fan of how YT handles shorts differently. IMO, if something is important enough for a video, make it a real video and not a short.

Ok, rant over, now I'll watch the video.

When dealing with government agencies, you can depend on vastly more complication.

Although Im a big Fan of SpaceX and their achievemnts so far. We saw with boeing what can happen if Regulators are not strict enough on Private Companies. Even if SpaceX have more ethical standards then Boeing. That can always change. Like Boeing changed. - So although it might be frustrating to wait. There should NOT be unnessecery Endagerment through too tight Schedules or due tue Greed.
