My most epic video game interaction ever was playing eve online in about 2007 (yes, that game is ancient, it was already 5yo at that point) and joining an invasion fleet that looked a lot like this hundreds of players (by the early 2010 that was a *small* fleet, but in 2007, it felt gigantic). We're all sitting there in space on comms as a team of commanders from across the world whipped everyone into shape re ammo types etc, and having never participated in one of these, it was electrifying seeing so many spacecraft in one place. The actual battle lasted all of about 25 minutes (we steamrolled the opponent) but that sense of awe has stuck with me ever since.

I did 25x difficulty and gathered the galaxy under one flag….. we still lost but goddamn was it cool as hell watching fleets fly in from all over.

82K research.... total of 30 empires each with one mega structure of science + science research + star systems + vassal income. Makes sense. Once had a 100M fleet Power. Lagged so bad that when I engaged the 25x, all crisis event, the battle won with me victorious with only 2K left. Total time before frame rate returned... 4 hours, 27 minutes, 16 seconds. Longest battle to date.
