Hi Rob,

A nice demo again! I think it's good that you show that it's possible to to a traditional bottom-up approach with Fusion. One of the reasons you said that this is important is that you would like more people to work on a certain design at the same moment. And I agree, but I think (and correct me if I'm wrong) that tasks in an engineering team are probably more on a function than on a part level. So what I think works awesome is somewhere in between, where you do this workflow as you perfectly describes, but then on the full housing instead of just the back plate. This way you leverage the full power of Fusion and make things easier to manage as you release a functional block. Does that make sense?

I now work with a small company making furniture and each cabinet is a fusion design, and they're put together as a kitchen using the linking. You way of working (creating an empty document, and linking it with some references), is then perfect to finish the design (like a common recessed handle for example).

Anyway keep those movies coming!

Regards,
David
