This is only the second video of yours that I’ve watched, but I already can’t wait to watch more and follow along trying to paint these scenes myself. I really, really admire how much you manage to convey even in the very early stages of your paintings, and how you focus on the bigger picture rather than zooming in for endless amounts of details that might disrupt the consistency of the painting. Short warning, I'll use illustrator as a synonym for concept artist.
Thank you a lot for a) timestamping your vid (although I didn't use it in this case, but usually if I'm just looking at videos for references of certain steps I might need timestamps), b) for keeping the volume at a good level (a lot of creators blast me away, unfortunately, lol), c) show EVERYTHING, not just the interesting bits! So frustrating to watch when ppl cut their progress short because they .. I dunno, think it's boring to watch? It's not. Sometimes it's exactly right.. Imma just become a sub to your channel because it's still so smol :D I think you deserve it for the work you put in and all the uncertaintanty that comes with a youtube channel <3 Remarkable was especially how adding green just changed the whole picture in an instant. :)
I wish I could work in the video game industry at some point.. Once I get good enough (like as oldie / goldie, haha)
Social media in general is so hard and everyone I get in recommendations already has a huge audience.. so I think I don't see enough of the actual 'normal work' but more of the 'fancy pants wannabe' view of how great it is to work as an illustrator. I personally think that I would love to live like an eremit and just paint to earn money and know that my paintings will make ppl happy or a product presentation better, etc. But what do I know. ;D
I'm wondering, because I recently read on reddit that a dude was working as an illustrator but he missed the contact with people, even though he was pretty introverted, so he wanted to change profession. Which seemed crazy to me because I wanna be a concept artist so badly. How does it work out for you in this regard, if you don't mind sharing?
