Maax Utile Shower Enclosure - Walls and Problems - Quick Look

A quick look at the Maax Utile shower enclosure (Alcove). We had some quality issues, shipping delays, etc.. I do a quick look around the enclosure during the test fit and explain some of the issues.

I am dealing with the same issue with the holes not being in the correct positions.

It’s a thick wall system but the alignment is not good

I’m thinking about getting one of these systems. Wondering what you’ll do from the top of the panel up to the ceiling?

Does the base require any particular padding or support from underneath?

This system is a nightmare! Cannot recommend it, we are weeks and weeks behind our bathroom remodel due to all the problems we've had. The Maax video is bullshit, our back panel is warped like yours, the holes for the pins that align and hold the side walls to the back are not drilled evenly, and the list goes on and on. Could have manually tiled this fate than using this system. It sucks don't buy it

I bought the akerbymaax model 3460 shower 4 piece and it's garbage the back legs were almost one inch short the pins did not line up with the holes the first one i had to take back because it didn't even have any holes nothing but problems this company has no quality control. Do not buy.
