Thank you for this. I have been searching for the best way to do this. Quick one though instead of 5 I used 10 and it removed the time. The lesson though is to utilise the left function.

My Date/Time look like this (01-Jun-2009 00:00:00) in stead of =LEFT(A2, 5) I used =LEFT(A2, 14) and this worked perfectly I also had a large data set of 10273 and It automatically updated when coping down.

Thanks for the video! I learned something that I didn't know before. Question, Is it possible to convert a date into the number? I tried copying some sports results from a website, and for example, a result of 1-0 appears into excel as 01:01:00 and if I try to convert the date into the number 0.04, which is not correct as I only want 1-1. Changing manually few results would be fine, but I was looking into working with huge amount of data. Maybe you could help?

Great, we also can use the RIGHT function to seperate time from the String
