Should you fit new tyres to the front or rear of your vehicle?
When you need new tyres – you’ll often only need to replace a pair. Front tyres tend to wear more quickly than rear but should the tyres with the newest tread stay on the front of your car?
@DrivingBex looks at how fitting new tyres to the front of your car affects the drive and ultimately which axle is safest to fit tyres with the most tread.

Yeah but then the front tires get worn down quicker and the backs don’t so then you’ll have to buy two MORE tires for the front when the tread is low. Of course tires companies recommend this

But does more grip on the rear really make sense? Personally, don't know about you, I'd like my car to change direction when I turn the steering wheel. Oh yes, and the car has more braking on the front so I think I'd like my front tyres to grip the road and actually stop the car. Thanks for the advice (tyre sellers), not!

So why rotate your Tires, especially on a FWD. Front tires always wear out faster than rear wheel tires (unless your the person who does rear wheel burn outs all the time). Rotating your more worn front tires to the rear would be counterproductive to this 'best tire go to the rear' debate.

Should rear-wheel drive and front-wheel drive also be a consideration?
