I think it is COMPLETELY inappropriate and bordering on abusive for this aunt to put these children in the position of making them say which woman they would rather live with. You don't ask a child to deal with an ADULT issue like a custody dispute. It traumatizes the child and frightens the child and forces them to choose between family and that's just not fair. YOU, as the adults, come together and figure it out.

I have been in those kids position and trust me, it is really stressful and traumatizing. You'll regret the decision that was forced to you by that person and you won't be able to dodge the question.

As the daughter of an alcoholic I always knew exactly what he wanted to hear when he’d been drinking and she’s definitely been drinking in that . You just just repeat snippets of their usual drunken monologue back at them. Works every time.

She was slurring her words during her interaction with the girls. The fact that she sees no problem with it and defends it says it all. She needs to have parenting classes so she can recognize abuse. I hope the girls are still back with their mother and are all thriving.
