she didn’t even argue. she just said “that’s alright.” and didn’t talk back. it’s bad enough that she set a boundary that he couldn’t respect but for him to keep lecturing her after she agreed and tried to move on is just wrong.

Jeez. She literally wasn’t doing anything. I think he should Have just respected that she didn’t want to see her biological mother. I know she mistreated her mother but he still should’ve respected her boundaries.

That's rude. He could have simply said the same without humiliating her. She is still calm and smiling, so he didn't need to attack her like that.

Edit: To everyone saying telling a TV host who to bring on their show isn't respectful, I never said otherwise. I said she was respectful towards Dr. Phil, she listened and agreed that she shouldn't have said who to bring on the show. Yet Dr. Phil continues to humiliate her on public television, and even kicks her off the show for being "melodramatic" when you watch the entire episode. Dr. Phil is a narcissist, and thinks because it's his TV show, he can treat his guest however he wants. That girl has a serious problem, and years of trauma, and needs a real psychologist who's going to listen, and help her. But instead Dr. Phil judged her for having a problem that it's his job to help her with, and only traumatized her more by humiliating her throughout the episode. So while she was in the wrong at some point, that doesn't give Dr. Phil the right to disrespect her.

I can't believe people thinking Dr Phil was badass on this. The girl was completely respectful, yet he made her look bad. He broke the trust she gave him when he brought someone who she asked before hand not to. He is wrong on this one.
