If the price is right, I could see this CPU being an easy pick over the 9900K depending on the build.

I gotta admit, you and gamers nexus do the best at explaining pc components. Love your content, keep up the good stuff!!!

Many many congratulations for the review!!!! Most reviewers bother just testing the KS and showing the numbers which are of course the same like the K in similar frequencies but what you checked there with the voltages and the temps is really top-notch content

This review is the best honestly ..temps, voltage, wattage...
the others just shown performance
love your channel

This is the most underrated review of i9 9900ks so far

I'm actually pleasantly surprised by the thoroughness of most of your tests. Great Job!
I may also eventually update to the 9900KS after seeing the wattage diff.

You are quickly turning into one of the best hardware channels on YouTube. You actually took the time to test the 9900KS and see why it's so much better. My 9900KS does 5Ghz at 1.180v realbench stress test tested. The thermals and power efficiency of the chip are really good for the clockspeed. Unfortunately most channels did absolutely no performance tuning for the chip, or maybe they don't know how.
Great video!

3:53 - "This is what kids these days call a weird flex". Hahaha man, that had me laughing!!

For SFFPC, this is a godsend. Not guaranteed to run at lower voltage but my KS ran 5GHz at ~100mv less (load @ 1.216 vs 1.32v) than my K did, both purchased within 2 weeks of each other. This makes a dan a4/9900ks with “losercard” modded Asetek 645lt possible.

This is a very good point. I value lower power a lot, since it leads to less heat and therefore less noise. My priority is always "as much performance as possible while being silent".

Excellent video!
My KS does 5.3GHz @ 1.305V after vdroop, no AVX offset. Checked for stability by running both AVX and non-AVX Prime 95 for 4 hours each. Very happy with this CPU.
Ok, that's my wierd flex for today.

Thanks for the V/F curve, your channel is the first one I've see one from. Good stuff. The comparision to your 9900K is especially useful to show the difference binning makes.

Optimum "Low Volt, Low Temp" Tech! Glad to see a YouTuber that cares about keeping things cool and efficient, instead of going balls-to-the-walls all of the time.

Another excellent video. Well explained and a slightly different approach to all other reviews I've watched. Keep up the great work!

I recently pulled the trigger on a KS hoping for the exact results you just posted in the review.. Lower voltages and cooler temps while pushing roughly 5 ghz on all cores. I currently game on a 3700x/2080ti, so definitely not an Intel fanboy, but when I saw them available for pre-order at suggested msrp, I figured Id give it a shot. Also happened to have a GB Aorus Master z90 sitting on the shelf waiting to be built, so timing was perfect. Excellent review, we appreciate the info!

This level of binning is why I was considering an undervolted 8086k for SFF. Then Ryzen 3000 dropped and I said screw it and headed towards a 3700X

Have you considered testing 4000 CL17 on the memory? 3200 is a bottlenech sometimes in games with 9900K + 2080Ti combo.

Your content is quite unique and so useful all the times. Why large youtubers don't think of it first? LOL
