If Rin glitches and respawns, dont run straight to the bell as she might respawn literally in front of the bell (Sharing from experience). To counter this you have to crouch and listen to your heartbeat. If your heartbeat is silent it is safe to rush to the bell but make sure to hurry as she will double back because she hears your footsteps (Every monster in Jealousy chapter 1 can hear footsteps except The Great Nure, Blob Man and Shlurping Man in the village.)

Here is a difference from normal to nightmare normal first Aggressive: She is slower than your sprinting speed, meaning you can easily outrun her. However, if you want her to stop chasing you, you can hide (without letting her see you) behind something or run into a safe room. Shimenawa rooms (rooms with rope hanging over their door), shojis (wooden panels), or closet doors are all examples of safe spots. In some cases, though, she can still kill you even while hiding due to her hit box.

Additionally, she gets herself stuck often. This gives her the chance to free herself by teleporting to a random room, where she may kill an unsuspecting player.

Nightmare Mode

Very aggressive and fast: She is faster than your sprinting, meaning you have to go to the closest safe spot as fast as possible. She also has a Hearing AI that has a cooldown for a certain amount of seconds.

Another tip: some sides of the cabinets are safe. (Note that mostly this will help because there are only around 3 safe spots)

The safe curtains are called shimenawa.

Don’t open the door that says “rooms with I forgot will protect u” unless ur ready for rin to come
