One month later, but mine was doing the same thing. I found online that you should open the back case, unplug the batter and then plug it back in again. The plug only fits one way, so you shouldn't have a problem there. I did this and it worked. Instead of powering up the system with a flashing red light and green light, when you plug in the cable, the red light goes on, steady. If you still have it and haven't tried this yet, try it. The post I found said he was told by Anbernic themselves to do this. Hopefully they correct this issue in future productions.

The annoying problem with this particular model is, from time to time I needed to disconnect the battery at the back through the header/plug for it to even charge properly. I wanted to love the RG280v but this annoying issue made me carry the Miyoo Mini instead.

Mine does not turn on unless it's plugged into the USB C charger ??

Disconnected the battery(20 sec!) from my RG350M and the green light is still on. It seems it can't be turned off.. Wonder what's wrong with this.. 🙁
