About the region, My tip is that when a new game or patch is released and you get poor download speeds from thousands of users in your region downloading from steam at the same time, temporarily changing your download region to a different part of the world where people currently sleep and restart steam can really make it download faster, as you will be sharing the steam-bandwidth with only a few people awake in that region - as soon as the download is done, change region back to your closest one and restart steam again.

I've done all these things and my download speeds go up and down minute to minute. 6 hours to 1 year over and over again till it's done

i have 1gb per second but only shows 100mb per second???

wow my steam was set as limited to 1mb per second! I set it to unlimited and it soared up to over 25mb/second! thank you!

It didn't work, made download speed worse.
Clearing the cache lead to CS2's download to be set to 0%.
You guys are useless

Still incredibly slow I have 1tb Internet speed and getting a maximum of 1.5 mb/s thats dial up speeds from over a decade ago.
