FileZilla FTP Server setup using the new UI! - Windows 10

We are going to be setting up a FileZilla FTP Server on Windows 10 using their new interface! This is a quick and simple tutorial!

Setting up your own FTP (File Transfer Protocol) server is not very difficult but it allows you to transfer files over your local network or over the internet with very limited restrictions. This can be a free alternative to most cloud services and will allow you to store your files on your remote computers.

A Filezilla FTP server on your internal or external network is a quick way to share files over the internet. Windows 8, 8.1, 10 and Windows 11 come with a built in FTP server under IIS but I would absolutely recommend using this FileZilla FTP server instead.

Lets set up an FTP server in 2022!!

thank you for the tutorial, I would need for my infrastructure that my users have access to the ftp storage space automatically via network location, how can I do? because for the ftp in gpo I did not succeed ...

How do i connect not locally? I am trying to connect my laptop to the HOST i keep getting a error that either the connection wont go through or there is no dictionary

I just downloaded filezilla to my laptop. Unfortunately, instead of opening on my big 24-inch screen, it opened on my small laptop screen with the top part off the screen. I can't find any way to drag it down so it can be viewed. Do you know the trick to getting hold of it to move it down or to the big screen on a Windows 10 laptop?

I wonder if tls/ftps could be turned off because I'm getting errors with some reolink cams. My error seems to be related to certificate self generated.

can't access my FTP from different device

I had good luck with older versions of FZ but this new one is complicated for this old man. It seems to not open port 21, well at least that is what fingapp is telling me when it does port sniff. All of this is for a local dump of reolink cams, the new ones now require ftps, shiz heads. Funny how IIS running I think by accident helped by opening 21 but I only want FZ server. Any way keep up the videos, maybe slow down on some for the over 59 crowd :)

You could explain more about what each setting does and how to configure things. Also filezilla keeps killing itself for some reason on my windows 10 machine, so I can't really use it. I am going to try a different alternative for FTP.

I am very much dissatisfied with the presentation. If you just wanted to proof how great you are, you succeeded, but you did not explain properly what you did. You click quickly, do not say what you clicked on, but the screen changes quickly. You also do not explain what is what. Why do you use the values you use and what do they mean?
