I gained a mountain of respect for Def Leppard for waiting for him to heal and then with the learning curve. Most bands with that hight of success would have replaced him and moved on. That showed The Word a great example of LOYALTY LOVE FOR ONE ANOTHER AND A MOUNTAIN OF CHARACTER.

The delay is due to the sound system and so on. If you think he's off time you are mistaken. This is why at some gigs and festivals when the audience claps along its slightly out of time with the actual timing of the band hitting/ strumming the instruments. This is why almost all bands wear ear pieces to help keep them in time because without them, what they play, and what they hear would be totally different timings. What the crowd hears is usually delayed slightly. Usually with bigger stadiums where there are larger sound systems because the sound has to travel further. And there are more speakers involved.

HOLY JESUS! I'm 52. I loves def leppard when I was in school just after release. I was just listening to just now and loving Gods Of War and thinking I should finally learn how to be a drum, so looked up some live footage and had my mind blown. I have never known that my favorite drummer was doing all that with one arm!

The echo is the sound of the arena delay PA system, too close to hear the snare because it’s probably triggered, but hi hats are right there so those are audible. But damn God bless this man!!!! THIS is playing for the love of music, life, appreciation for what we DO have in life!!! 🙌🏽👏🎶🔥❤️

My wife and I had the pleasure of seeing them play live in Portland, Oregon a few years ago with Journey. He is, by far, one of the most accomplished drummers I have ever heard. His solo was so amazing you couldn't even tell he was missing an arm. Just awesome to see in person.

An inspirational great drummer. As a drummer and human (but not a fan of Def Leppard) huge respect to the bandmates for waiting for him after the terrible accident that happened to him.
'He survived it and came out the other side stronger'.
