Best concert ever. I was 17 living in Arvada Colorado, went that night. Unreal, just saw them 36 years later in Hershey PA. Ahh the memories

My high school friends and I would watch this VHS almost every weekend. It kind of became a ritual for us. Get drunk, get high and watch Def Leppard. I have so many fond memories of this performance. I'm so glad someone uploaded the unedited version of it.

You can tell Def Leppard is just 5 pals playing rock n roll because they love it!! Out of all the 80s bands none of them had as much heart and soul as Leppard.

I will forever be jealous of my parents for being able to see bands like these in their prime

Arguably DL at their absolute peak. Love the early French/German gigs pre 'Hysteria' but this gig is mind blowing. That creme LP Custom, triple humbucker with Kahler is imo the best guitar I will ever see. That Gibson never did a run is a stain on the various managements that have been in charge - for Gods sake they did a Tommy Thayer run? I mean what TF?

This gig stands out among the MANY they did during this tour and arguably 'why' this gig was selected by the band for 'official' release. "The Riffmaster" just blows the entire stadium apart. Given he was the primary song writer, created some of the most complicated, melodic, harmonic chords, hooks, bends and riffing that are impossible to replicate, even Viv as beast of a guitarist he is still today admits humbly he cannot play several of the songs Steve played here - and again Viv is a true icon. But his playing was extremely different - Steve oozed cool, his right hand especially, like his icon Page was 'so' loose.

It's extremely hard to do what both Steve and Phil did, they never actually really played the 'same' notes together or the same, they really were the ultimate dual guitar players.

Steve's performance brings mixed feelings - on the one hand we all as fans get to see how truly gifted he was, and his stage persona which was genuine rock star - yet it also reminds we fans of this true genius what a loss his death remains in 2023.

Fact is - this band has NEVER achieved the same success music wise since Steve died. Given he was responsible for 90% of their music that is so obvious. Sure DL have produced some 'solid' material since Steve died but no where near what they gave when Steve was alive.

I truly envy anyone who got to see this genius live. His loss remains incalculable.

I saw this 'In the Round, In Your Face' tour with Tesla opening up for them. It's something that no band was doing at the time by putting the stage in middle so anyone anywhere could see them no matter where you were sitting...but who sits at an 80's concert. Lol Still my favorite band and Hysteria is my most favorite song ever. 💜

well fck me i guess im coming out as openly nostalgic!! i had just turned 19. this had to come directly off the board - whoever their front of house jockey was knew their shit for real. epic performance from DL at the literal max height of the hair metal/arena rock era. seems like everything right down to the setlist was damn near perfect 🤘🎸⚡️📻♠️🔥 100/10

"c'mon Steve get it" Steve 'The Riffmaster' OWNS arguably Leppard's greatest gig. His distinctive boots on show. TL4L, BOTH, DHTH, Photograph, these songs alone are both timeless and simply epic - Steve's ability to construct some of the most insane and extremely complicated guitar parts, harmonies, melodies, hooks, bends and beautiful riffing was just mind blowing. I never got the chance to see this genius live - I envy those that did. #RIP 'Steamin'

I been revisiting Def Leppard, especially from this era, their music and touring. By far this tour" In the Round" is their very best music, and performances with Steve Clark, lineup. Don't get me wrong, I love Vivian Campbell, he's as much a member of the band, but my point is this the band. The energy and tone they got was awesome! They were rockin hard, with great tunes from 2 of their best albums at the time. I saw the tour for Pyromania and they were great then. With Hysteria, the next chapter, these songs added a more mature tone to the list. Different then the songs from the last few years. I only wish they wouldhave included playing one song I never heard live.
Desert Song. "Desert Song" and "Fractured Love", were recorded during the Hysteria sessions, but weren't finished till later after Steve was gone. Desert Song is a incredible emotional song to play. Great solos to pull off live between Steve and Phil. Always a Def Leppard fan!
