The action 4 is definitely extracting more detail from the image, but only slightly, its almost not noticeable for daytime unless you pause the videos (especially after Youtube compression). FOr low light, it's no contest, the gopro is laughably bad compared to the action 4.

As someone who just picked up the action 4 after having the hero 11 for a while. The action 4 is just a much better camera. It’s reliable, battery is excellent, magnetic mount is so convenient, and the video quality looks way better than my GoPro even with 5.3k.

The action 4 is just the perfect camera, it does everything I need an action camera to do well without the unnecessary features that come with the GoPro.

Came to ask about overheating situation but you answered it toward the end of your video. I need a second cam in addition to my current HERO11 and just trying to decide if I get another HERO11 or an Action 4 to try something different.

Nice comparison, could be that the magnetic mount is the sale maker. The big but is what about the Hero 12?

The action is giving better skin tones, also the go pro seems to zoom in more on standard setting for lens so when comparing the shots you have both shots together the action footage (in my opinion) looks better. A little other thing is the go pro overheats and shuts down where the action does not shut down it only stops on screen view.

Such a good, thorough, in-depth, factual and technical comparison in less than 8min.
The informational desity is so DENSE it's amazing. Some creator would milk this amount of info for 20min at least and it's so annoying.

Wished there would me some action footage to compare how good both cam are at captivating fast movement (from humans or in the scenery)...like people dancing fast or some cars blazing past the cams on highway.
You did it here and there (with train station and standing in road) but it wasn't focused on that aspect.
