The thing that is missing for car or diesel van owners is info . The car computer should tell the driver how full the exhaust dpf is . If a diagnostic machine can read it the info should be on the car info screen . If this info was available people could take the car for a run long before the yellow drive to clear light comes on . People simply do not know the car is in regeneration mode .

Fantastic video. Thanks. You mentioned once the EGR & DPF has been cleaned and there will be soot left in the car. Is there any reason why a friend has said i should clean the oil and filters afterwards too??? I assume the oil somehow gets dirty too?

Very good video demonstration and talk as are the other videos - re' the phone calls and questions to you - You need to know when to say no.
There's a lot who can't be bothered to do the research required to make an informed decision.
They look for the easy way out and prefer another to do it for them for free.
Don't waste your experience, money and time on them.
Good luck to you.

You know, I tell people the same thing but they don't care. As far as they're concerned that's a problem for the next owner... Love the content, look forward to next one.

I recently took my dpf off, soaked it in dpf cleaner for about 10 hours and flushed it with water till it ran clear. Refitted and also repaired boost leak which was the original cause for blocked dpf and it worked great. I wouldn't use the cleaners that you just spray in as it doesn't clear it out fully. Backflushing it sends all the particles back the way they came into the dpf for a much better result.

I have a vw t5 that regular regens? I don’t have any warning lights come on but when it regens I get some of the gass fumes smell
in the cabin ? And a little smoke under bonnet? It will regen for about 10 mins give or take. Would a dpf clean help ?

Hello Jimmy, I am a new subscriber based on you're knowledge and presentation. I am also a new diesel owner in this minefield, I do not have any issues currently as far as I am aware but I am anxious to offset anything in future.
To those ends, I intend to purchase the Launch products you recommend in this video,
so which product should I be purchasing just from a maintenance perspective?
Thanks for time in producing these very informative videos for the good of everyone.

Regards

Pete
