Let's face it, nobody in the WNBA knew how to react to Caitlin Clark -- including Sides and Dunn. So Caitlin comes in they try to put a round peg in a square hole when it came to their style of play. I think we are starting to see the light come on a little bit with Sides and Dunn because they are seeing they are winning and dominating with the fast pace style of play. The problem is, I don't think Sides knows how to coach Caitlin's style of play so she struggles. If I were Sides I would be on the phone talking to people like Bluder or other coaches who have that experience (this is a common sense move). And you are right, she needs to quite pulling Caitlin for defensive possessions -- Caitlin's defense is getting better and the fact is no one else on the team is really any better either.

My favorite thing about Sides is she is out on the court putting out a lot of energy. She’s always got her sneakers on and she always running up and down the court.

Dunn is 204 years old. Her and Sides are out of step and out of time! They are incompetent; therefore, incapable of leading the Fevers anywhere but off a cliff! Their change of heart in communicating with CC is directly link to CC’s appeal and attention from other team owners, coaches and players during the Allstar game.
CC has gotten a taste of competence on the WNBA level and it’s obvious that she loved and relished it. Dunn and Sides are circling their wagons in an effort to protect their investment in CC BUT they need to make big and objective changes to the Fevers’ roster immediately.

I'm repeating myself but the meeting should have been held before practice started and included LinD if it was intended to take Clark in. This will break down quickly as soon as Clark starts providing feedback. Sides/Reeves have same mental block.

I'm with you, Mark in that, it's very difficult to get a feel for what it is with Christie Sides. From what I can see, Sides knows the basics of basketball. Unfortunately, that knowledge is only good enough for junior high school players and rec ball. She's not an X's and O's coach, which is obvious. She doesn't have the mental acuity to draft a strategy that's outside the box, which goes hand in hand with her lack of ball IQ. These things might suggest why she only has two plans per game regarding playing either offense or defenses but never combining them into a dynamic system that adjusts itself as the game goes on. But in fairness, implementing a dynamic system requires players with at least a good ball IQ to recognize when to adjust.

Cristy is a terrible coach. She doesn’t know how to compliment CC and have favoritism in giving praises. Just go. YOU always given a mental breakdown to CC
