Caitlin Clark Was Insane Again and Christie Sides is About to Be Fired

Clark is special and is the reason why I and millions around the world are tuning in to the WNBA. The league was not ready for her, the referees were not ready for her, and her team was not ready for her. While it is painful to watch the level in ineptitude that is around Clark, I still enjoy watching her play.

Christie Sides doesn't know what she wants. She demands the Clark focus more on midrange shots. She determines who should take shots at the end of a close game, then criticizes Clark for not shooting more. She doesn't provide any sort of
helpful guidance that might motivate Clark's teammates to enable greater use of her immense talents. I fear the Fever are a lost cause as long as Sides is at the helm.

The level of play that Caitlin Clark is bringing to this team has overwhelmed this coach. She cannot manage all that Caitlin Clark is bringing to this team. This coach has failed to demonstrate a winning strategy.
My suggestions are
No. 1 replace this coach.
No. 2 let Caitlyn Clark run the offense when she's on the floor.

I love watching CC. But, so many of these players think that showing up in the WNBA is their objective, not attached to any objective results. Lack of commitment to defense and rebounding is obvious. When a 6' 150lb player often leads in rebounds... it tells you what you need to know.

If you haven’t noticed, CC isn’t trying to control or carry the team. She has enough hate to know that’s not how you build trust and make friends… she wants to play as a team, but no one is stepping up to play to each others strengths and Sides is complicit in Indiana’s struggle for cohesiveness. She doesn’t know how to coach or plan strategy utilizing each players strength yet constantly blames everyone else for her incompentencies.

I hope she will be fired. Her lack of coaching ability is hurting the team. She plays players that disrupt the offense and can't even play defense. She has no ability to adapt game plans on the fly to adjust to what the other team is doing.

CC has such great court vision, passing, and conditioning to run all day. Unfortunately, coach wants to
dial her down to mediocrity.

Agree that Sides is in WAY over her head and doesn't seem to improve her decision-making and refuses implement changes in strategy and players on the floor. But, equally important is that CC has very little help on the floor. Some of her team mates are just not up to the task. She is making some great shots, but NO ONE consistently screens so that she can step back and make her long shots. I saw very few Fever players coming to stand still between CC and the Storm defenders, who were relentless. This kind of defending against CC will be the norm, so something has to change now! In the fourth quarter, CC realizes it's almost impossible to push off and step back to shoot, so she passes. When she passes half of the time her teammates don't score. They need to actually practice layups and screening every single day! Teach them how to correctly do these things and require them to repeat them over and over. Otherwise, the Fever are repeatedly going to disappoint as a team and CC is going to deflate. That would be sad for all concerned.

Her teammates hold her back. I've seen her attempt awesome passes, and her teammates fumble it. She'll hit them right in the hands, and they still drop it.
